Our wedding venue dressing company has combined skills and knowledge in a variety of areas including interior design, art, woodwork, event management and more. Locally based in Scarborough we believe in providing a personal yet professional wedding venue dressing service. Our services are available for all events from birthday parties to weddings, we will ensure your big day is everything you have always dreamed of. Jenny is the boss but couldn't do it without her parents Mandy and Paul and her trusted team of helpers.

BEHIND THE WOW SCENES

Starting out in 2014 we are proud to say WOW Weddings & Events have gone from strength to strength over the last few years. Starting out with just an idea, a hell of a lot of ambition, 80 chair covers and a sweet cart (that we made the mistake of buying unpainted) we decided to take on the Scarborough wedding scene. Gradually our services extended to all kinds of different venues, providing us with challenging new experiences along the way. Did this result in sleepless nights? OF COURSE.

In the first few years we decided to have a full re-brand and change of business name from 'WOW Weddings Yorkshire' to 'WOW Weddings & Events'. We thought that maybe providing our skills across the whole of Yorkshire while still holding down full time jobs wasn't exactly viable, also we were keen to expand into other events including christenings, baby showers, birthdays etc. 

We love taking part in wedding fayres and meeting a range of fantastic local suppliers from florists and photographers to wedding dress boutiques and a live band. Keep a look out on our social media pages to see where we will be next!

2022 was a huge year for WOW. Jenny bit the bullet and quit her full time job to put her everything in to the business. Being self employed we hope to continue to grow the business in different areas. This includes the creation of new props for our regular venues, connecting with new up and coming venues, a bigger focus on wedding organisation packages and a focused movement into wedding stationery design, providing invites and on the day stationery to suit all budgets.
